Junfan completed a BSc in Applied mathematics from Zhejiang Normal University in China and an MSc degree in Mathematics and Cybersecurity with Distinction, specializing in machine learning at the University of Bristol, UK.

 

Junfan's research at the Samarajiwa lab is funded by an Isaac Newton Trust and Wellcome Trust ISSF joint research fellowship and involves applying statistics, mathematics, machine & deep learning approaches to understand the gene regulatory aspects of cancer immunotherapy responses.
